Re-Recording Mixer and Sound Designer
Threads is about the art and life of Surayia Rahman. Surayia Rahman is a self-trained, passionate artist who guided hundreds of underprivileged women in Bangladesh to create masterworks. This exquisitely hand embroidered art has been gifted to dignitaries and admired in collections throughout the world.
I had the amazing opportunity to mix this film with Steve Barsotti my former instructor and mentor from the Art Institute of Seattle. We both had a great time collaborating with Cathy Stevulak (Director/Co-Producer) to create an auditory landscape to bring the story of Surayia Rahman to life. In addition to the sound design and dialog of the film we also got to incorporate the original score of traditional and modern music from Bangladesh by the works of Tanveer Sajeeb Alam.
